A refinance company for poor credit and also a legit debt consolidation company.

My husband recently passed away and left me in a financial mess. Without his income I can barely make ends meet. What I want to do is get away from the mortgage company we have our mortgage with. When he died the mortgage loan was in his name only and the deed was in both of our names. I called them to let them know he passed away and that I wanted to assume the loan. Of course I knew I had paperwork to do and I knew it would take time to process it, but I didn't expect it to take as long as it did and I would call them at least 3 times a week to find out what was going on and when I would call they said they didn't have my paperwork. Anyway I had to redo the pages of paperwork over 4 different times. I faxed and mailed it to them everytime and I don't know how they couldn't have gotten it. So when I would call them everytime I would ask them about helping me with some type of payment arrangements so I wouldn't get behind on payments. They told me they couldn't discuss the account with me because my name wasn't on the loan but yet when we took the loan out they included my income in it. They also told me not to send any partial payments. So I did as they told me. Then a letter in my husbands name came and it said Foreclosure accelleration measures would start if I didn't catch up the 2 months that I was behind. So I sold his vehicle and caught up. Now I'm exactly a week late on this month. This isn't all they pulled on me but there isn't enough writting space to tell all. What I would like to know is if there is any legit place where I could refinance my home with that accepts poor credit. Since my husband passed away I am so far behind on everything it is driving me crazy. Before this My credit was real good never behind on anything or late, but I can't say that now. So if anyone knows of anywhere that will help me please let me know. And to if you know of a good legit credit consolidation company I would very much appreciate that info also. Thank you. Janiegirl.

Janie,
Whats the name and contact information for the company? You should really contact your local BBB to see about filing a complaint.

I did contact the BBB and thanks to them I got my name on the loan within 2 days of them contacting them. But I just want to get away from them for the way they had treated and done business with me. Thanks. Janie.
