Star Trek Online was sold as retail even though it clearly was not a retail product.
Plenty of the games functions at release were not working. This would be the same as paying for a car without bumpers and missing a door. The car might drive but this is NOT what a retail customer has paid for.
MMOs do come out with many issues but this product was blatantly released un- complete with more than an average number of functions not working.
Also the pre-order purchases with so many online retailers was a debacle in its own. Many customers were left in the dark as NONE of the retailers had the specifics to the pre-order purchases. There was no fine print. Customers were never given links to the specifics with their purchase.
As with Software Game purchases you can never get your money back. So I would suggest you save yours.
