Three years ago last month we had our new modular home set in Aztec NM. We moved in sometime in June in 2014. Although we love the floor plan, that we designed, and the potential for the outdoor space, there is not one place we can walk, sit, stand or lay without recognizing poor workmanship. We would never recommend this builder to anyone, nor buy another one. And, perhaps most concerning is that the company and their contractors really do not care. We have only been in our home two winters and each one we have needed to have service on our heater. I contacted Karsten and they referred me to Nordyne? I have called them and either the phone rings forever, or messages get ignored or the one time I actually spoke to someone they told me they couldn't do anything without the model and serial number. I get that, but at least pretend like you care that my brand new heater doesn't work in the middle of winter! Then, in retrospect I thought, this is a REALLY bad product with REALLY bad customer service so I wrote the Albuquerque location that our home was manufactured at expressing my disappointment. Nothing. No, we received your letter and wonder what we can do, who did you talk to, what are your concerns- nope. Not even a form letter indicating they had received my letter. Apparently there are enough people lined up to buy these things on their lots that they really don't care about those of us that gave thought, researched, upgraded, customized, etc. Well, hopefully this will help keep some discerning buyers from making the same mistake we did.
