I've been banking with Kinecta for over 20 years. I would give this bank a "zero" star if I could. They used to be a credit union with a high level of integrity, and truly watched out for the best interest of their members. I don't know what's taken place there, but over the past year, their customer service has become horrendous, and their practices just like "regular" banks, taking advantage of their members with every fee and penalty there is out there, and when you call to ask about it - they're just indifferent about it.
They changed my VISA card to a "Platinum" card a few months ago, without my permission. It sounded like an upgrade, but I'm now paying a much higher finance rate, and I'm not "allowed" to withdraw money off my own card until I pay off at least half the balance!
I also have a loan with them that has a payment due on the 15th of the month, and called in several months ago stating that due date did not work well with my pay dates. The representative told me that I could make payments up to 10 days late without any issues or penalties, so that's what I've done. This week, however, I've found out they've shut down that line of credit on me because I've been making the payments late (even though the rep said I could that), and they gave me no warning beforehand.
I've told them I feel like I'm being forced to close my account with them, and they've responded with what the steps I needed to do that, without trying to make reconciliation.
I could go on with many, many other instances.
It's so sad to see what Kinecta has done to the former "Hughes Credit Union", and companies like this that HAD integrity go down the hole with some of the other big name banks out there in the name of "greed".
Beware of this bank!
