I went to this dental office on the referral of a co-worker, the fact that they did not charge large co-pays, not the service. My visit was with Dr. Baratian, an x-ray was done which showed I needed two caps. Fine. I went in on my next appointment and by this time I have developed an infection. Well Dr. Baratian did not do another x-ray he just proceeded to start working. He gave me an injection to numb the area and then he came back and proceeded to drill. I could feel the drill and immediately told him so. He gave me another injection and waited several minutes and returned, he proceeded to drill again and I told him I still felt pain. He then gave me another injection and waited several minutes more, when he started drilling again I told him that something was wrong I was still feeling pain as he drilled. He then gave me an injection at the top of my mouth and came back and again started drilling. I told him I could still feel pain. He told me that I had a lot of infection on one of the teeth and that he had to drill all the infection out. I was in pain as he was drilling, but when he mentioned infection, I felt he had to get it out. Long story a little shorter. When it was over and the impression was taken I was not given any follow up instructions, just told they would call when caps were available. Around 6:00 p.m. I was in so much pain, I welcomed death. I took all types of medication for the pain. I called the office and out they were closed on weekends. On Monday I felt better probably because I was medicated up. But on Thursday morning while at work the pain hit and I ended up detouring to Kaiser Perm because I could not take the pain. The Medical Doctor informed me that my gums were cut up severly, there was skin hanging probably from all the injections, and he informed me that the doctor could not numb an area which was infected no matter how many shots he gave me. The MD also stated that this dentist should have done a root canal before he placed the caps on. I went back to see Dr. Baratian and he placed the caps on. In August I had an infection on one of the teeth and it was treated with antibiotics and I was told that I probably would need a root canal. It is October and again this area is infected and I went in on Monday to see a specialist and he did stated that I needed a root canal. Dr. Baratian's Treatment Planner informed me that I would have to pay $1,000 this same day to have it done. Why did he not do it when I told him that the MD said I needed a root canal. He talked about the MD, stating that he was not a dentist. What abouth the quality of his work, doesn't he care about that. They chose to let me leave with an infected tooth, instead of doing the right thing. Another business where it is quantity over quality. I would never recommend anyone there.
