Toyota of Pasadena failed in its certification process when they sold me a used 2010 Prius. As soon as I left the lot, the tire pressure light went on. The next day, I brought the car in and I was shown the reason for the light going on...one of the tires was bulging at the rim and there was also a bubble in the tire. I wanted to return the car, but the company would not credit my trade-in ($10,000) for my Prius 2005 and my deposit of $5000. I wrote to the BBB, but the company never responded. I will no longer deal with this company in the future. I have driven Toyotas for the past 40 years, but the company has failed me and I have lost my confidence in this company. When I brought my used 2010 and asked to buy a new 2010 Prius, I was told that as soon as I drove the vehicle off the lot, it had depreciated so much that I could not get the bulk of my deposit back (15,000). The head of the dealership said that the certification process would cost too much and he could not honor my total deposit. WHERE WAS THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS PRACTICED WHEN THEY SOLD ME THIS CAR WITH A DEFECTIVE TIRE THAT COULD HAVE BLOWN AT ANY TIME!!!??? This could have been a hazard to me.
